Taxis in The Rhondda Valleys
TAXI
TAXI
Taxis are plentiful in The Rhondda Valleys and relatively inexpensive when compared to many other areas of the country. Most of the drivers have been employed in the business for many years and have a wealth of local knowledge and experience.
If you are flying into Cardiff Wales Airport, for peace of mind,
why not book your taxi in advance? Cynon Valley taxis
companies are only too pleased to be of assistance,
and always offer the keenest rates.
Need a taxi? - There will shortly be a list of taxis here

Licensed Hackney Carriage vehicles are the only vehicles that can use a taxi rank. These vehicles are black in colour, have a roof sign and must display a yellow plate on the rear of the vehicle, a smaller internal plate, and oval yellow door stickers on both front doors.
Hackney Carriage drivers must be licensed by the Council and wear an ID badge issued by the Council, which includes his/her photograph.
For your safety, all licensed taxis and private hire vehicles are regularly checked by agents of the local authority and all registered drivers are vetted by the police to ensure that all are fit and proper individuals. Please be sure that you do not use any vehicles that do not bear the RCT license marks.

In addition to Hackney Carriages, R.C.T. also license private hire vehicles. These Private Hire Vehicles cannot ply for hire at taxi ranks or in the street. Journeys must be pre-booked, normally by phone or in person at an office.
