We grow a wide range of plants at the nursery for your garden, including over ninety varieties of conifers most of which are dwarf or slow growing. This is a range of plants we are constantly increasing and are keen to try new or unusual varieties.

Our range of alpines and perennials includes many unusual varieties and are not found in garden centres. With over 30 varieties of Saxifraga and over 40 varieties of Sempervivum.

We also stock a range of shrubs, ornamental trees, heathers, roses and climbers, we also have a limited range of fruit trees such as apples, plums and cherries and soft fruit like red currents, black currents, gooseberries, strawberries and rhubarb.

PERENNIALS

We grow many varieties of perennials as well as buy in from other nurseries. We grow many varieties of Heuchera, which are very popular for the garden and container's for all year round colour. The varieties we are growing in 2010 include 'Key Lime Pie', 'Caramel', Rave On, which has been sected not only for it's dark bronzy, silver metalic foliage, but also for it's incredible rosy red spring flowers, 'Plum Pudding', 'Peach Flambe', 'Midnight Rose', 'Obsidian' and the new 'Blackberry Jam' , which is a wonderful richly coloured Heuchera with bold tones of maroon and blackberry with ebony veins and the new Heuchera 'Berry Smothie', a definate "wow" plant. A real smoothie colour al year round - rose pink, through raspberry to blackberry shades. Big, bold habit.

As well as the Heuchera's we will also be growing two new Heucherella's. The Heucherella's are a cross between Heuchera and Tiarella. Heucherella 'Alabama Sunrise' changes colour with the season. The deeply cut foliage in spring to mid summer is gold with red vains. In later summer, the leaves turn green with red vains. In autumn, the older foliage turn amber-pink. Heucherella 'Sweet Tea' is one of the most intensely coloured Heucherella ever! The big orange tea coloured palmate cut leaves darken in the summer and lighten up again in the autumn. These are two must have's for Heuchera lovers.

Salvia microphylla 'Hot Lips' is another perennial we will have available in 2010. A wild selection of the Mexican Salvia microphylla - small green leaves and unique scarlet-red and white flowers. These can appear completely red or white at any one time. It flowers all summer if you keep dead heading to encourage new growth, therefor ideal for patio tubs or the garden.

We also grow many of the more common perennials such as Lupin, Delphinium, Crocosmia, Geranium, Digitalis, Hosta and Penstemon, plus many, many more.

ALPINES

We stock a wide range of alpine plants for your rock garden and alpine troughs. With Lewisia, Saxifraga and Sempervivum being our main alpine production. This includes our own introduction of Sempervivum 'Jamie's Pride', named after our son and recently been grown in trials by the RHS at the trial grounds at Wisley. Every Jamie's Pride sold we will be giving the full amount to Ty Hafan, The Children's Hospice in Wales for the care they gave to Jamie.

We also sell many other alpine plants such as Aubrieta, Campanula, Dianthus, Phlox, Sedum and Thymus.

CONIFERS

We currently grow just over one hundred varieties of conifers most of which are dwarf or slow growing. this is a range of plants we are constantly increasing and are keen to try new or unusual varieties.

Our range includes the very dwarf Abies 'Piccolo'. It is a true dwarf never more than 40cm high and a real gem for the rock garden.

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Green Globe', very compact 25-30cm round and ideal for the rock garden.

Juniperus communis 'Compressa', no alpine trough is complete without this one.

We also grow grafted varieties which include Abies, Cedrus, Picea and Pinus.

Most of our range of conifers are sold in 2 or 3lt pots, but we do sell some in 5 and 7lt pots. Some varieties are also available in 9cm pots which we sell mainly at flower shows

SUMMER BEDDING

We offer a full range of summer bedding plants and we grow most of them on the nursery. From Ageratum and Alyssum to Petunia, Salvia and Verbena. All are now sold in packs of nine plants at £3.20.

The range of potted bedding for your baskets and tubs include Bacopa, Diascia, and Verbena priced at £1.30 each and Surfinia, Begonias, Fuchsias and Geraniums priced at £1.65 each. All in 9cm pots.

This year we will have twenty eight varieties of Fuchsias, which includes bush, hardy and basket types. Plus seventeen varieties of Geraniums, both Zonal and Ivyleaf. We also have Geraniums in 2lt pots available from mid May.

We also sell hanging baskets, either ready filled or we can refill your baskets. Prices start at only £13.

Vegatable plants are also available in the spring and include cabbage, cauliflower, beans and lettuce. Also available for your greenhouse are tomato plants, cucumbers, peppers and melons
