Chart diva joins big weekender

PONTY'S Big Weekend just got bigger - as charter topper Diana Vickers joins fellow X Factor contestants JLS for the annual music festival at Ynysangharad Park.
With her debut single Once currently in number one, ticket holders to the Saturday concert - which sold out within an hour - will be delighted to see the babe from Blackburn, who finished fourth on the TV singing show in 2008, perform on July 25.
Dave Driscoll, of concert promoters P4 Music, which is part of the Push4 Group, said: "The timing of Diana's announcement couldn't be better with her getting to Number 1 with her debut single this week.
"Those who've already bought tickets for Saturday are in for an even greater treat.
And Sunday also promises to be a great day with some really big popular international stars on the bill."
Free tickets for the Sunday concert, which is being headlined by classical singer Hayley Westenra, are still available by visiting the Muni Arts Centre in Pontypridd, the Park and Dare Theatre in Treorchy or Aberdare's Coliseum during opening hours.

A handling charge will be applied.
