programme of exhibitions presents both local and national artists. With breathtaking views of the lower Rhondda Valleys, the
'Valley View' Restaurant is the place to relax over coffee, meet friends for
lunch or take afternoon tea. Or why not experience what life was like in a working colliery in the 1950's on a guided tour underground. First visit the 'Lamp Room' - don your safety helmet and ride the 'Cage' to 'Pit Bottom'. Our tour guides (who are all ex-miners) will guide you through the underground workings of the Lewis Merthyr Colliery and will answer any visitor questions and contribute their own inimitable anecdotes of life underground. Then, travel back to the surface on a *thrilling simulated ride. *Height restrictions apply - persons under 1.1metres are
